Nick Bayes has been playing bass and performing live for over thirty years. He joined folk punk legends Tower Struck Down in 1991 and went on to perform over 300 gigs with the band.
Nick has worked with many acts during his career and is currently the touring bassist for Headsticks and Tom Seals.
He has supported many name acts, including Kirsty MacColl, Daisy Chainsaw, Kirk Brandon and Spear Of Destiny, The Christians, Diana Vickers, Tom Hingley, Mark Morriss, TV Smith, Mark Radcliffe, John Bramwell, Big Country, Strawbs and Atilla The Stockbroker and has performed all over the UK and in France and Ireland and at many UK festivals, including Glastonbury, Cheltenham Jazz, Brighton, Edinburgh Fringe, Tolpuddle Martyrs and Middlewich Folk Festival
He has depped for many acts, including Rock of Ages, (for ex-Dr Phibes bassist Lee Belsham), Heavy Weather with FM guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick, George Borowski's Fabulous Wonderfuls and The Langley All-Stars (with ex-10cc drummer Michael Gilbourne).
Nick has presented a couple of radio shows and featured as an extra in the feature film GRIDIRON UK, due for release sometime during 2015.
Nick also works occasionally as a freelance live sound engineer and was the house engineer at Square One in Crewe. He has engineered many acts, including John Bramwell, Turin Brakes, Lucy Spraggan, TV Smith and Tom Hingley.
